About Your Therapist

Seattle counseling and therapy I have 10 years experience working to help people in situations from crisis
intervention to deeper long-term therapy.

  • B.A. in Psychology, Antioch University Seattle, 2000
  • M.A. in Psychology, Antioch University, Seattle, 2008
  • Seattle Counseling Service for Sexual Minorities
  • Home Alive - Working to help homeless women with self-defense and empowerment
  • King County Crisis Clinic - Two years as a crisis counselor.
  • Recovery Groups - I have facilitated non-traditional groups for recovery from drugs, alcohol and co - dependence that are empowerment based to give an alternative to women and minorities in their journey toward healing.

I provide a safe, empathic and genuine atmosphere in order to create a connection in the therapeutic relationship. Within this work I strive to help people find their individual path that will promote growth, wellness, and peace of mind.

I have years of experience working with adults from all walks of life, backgrounds, and ages. My approach is strength based, client centered, interpersonal, and solution focused. My down to earth manner stems from a lifetime of working through my own personal struggles (we all have them). You could say I learned how to help people from the inside out. I respect each individual’s worldview, spirituality, and beliefs and strive to help find solutions within those beliefs that are both productive and affirming. (See Specialties)
