Experience

Glad to meet you, my pronouns are she/her.

As a general practitioner, I see adults with a wide range of concerns. Some of these concerns include:

*  Anxiety                                * Chemical Dependency

*  Depression                         * Co-Dependency

*  Relationships                     * LGBTQIA+

*  Grief and Loss                   * Self-Esteem

*  Life Transitions

My practice integrates psychodynamic, existential, cognitive-behavioral, DBT, and feminist approaches to help you develop insight into the ways your identity, thoughts, feelings and relationships have been shaped by life experiences and systemic cultural influences. I view therapy as a tool and an experience that can help you discover and learn about previous helpful ways that you have learned to cope with challenging circumstances.

Together we can assess whether those coping skills are still valuable to you. If not, I can assist you in developing insight into acquiring new coping strategies, ways of behaving, and thinking that are more satisfying and affirming to you. Together we will focus on your resiliency, strengths, and goals. In this respect, therapy is a journey that you navigate while I offer support and guidance.

My approach is strength based, client centered and interpersonal. My down to earth manner stems from a lifetime of working through my own personal struggles (we all have them). You could say I learned how to help people from the inside out.

I am respectfully considerate of each client's experience of the world as it pertains to areas such as career, family traditions, racial and cultural background, spiritual beliefs, sexual identity, and gender expression.

I have been in private practice since 2008 and am currently accepting clients from anywhere in the state of Washington for telehealth.
