Gain valuable skills and knowledge to help you succeed while being surrounded by like-minded individuals who understand your struggles and are ready to support you every step of the way.

What is DBT?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a kind of talk therapy. It is an adaptation of cognitive-behavioral therapy aimed at helping individuals who experience emotions intensely and has expanded far beyond its original focus population.

DBT consists of four key focus areas: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness, aimed at developing acceptance and change.

Group Information

The group runs a rotation of three eight-week modules over six months. Each module starts with two weeks of mindfulness followed by six weeks of Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, or Interpersonal Effectiveness skills.

The virtual DBT skills group meets weekly on Mondays 6:00pm to 7:30pm via Zoom. It's open to adults aged 18 years and older and lasts for 90 minutes.

    • $480 for entire module (8 weeks)

The Research

  1. DBT helps with anxiety and depression symptoms (Navarro-Haro et al., 2018)

  2. Therapy, Based on DBT, showed a reduction of symptoms of people with General Anxiety Disorder (Roemer et al., 2008)

  3. Modified DBT Group in college reduced Depression like symptoms in students (Meaney-Tavares & Hasking, 2013)
